About the Clerking Workshop:
Helen Park and David Zeiss will lead a workshop on serving as clerk in Quaker organizations. Helen and David are co-clerks of Eugene Friends Meeting, coming to that role from very different backgrounds, including years of experience as leaders in both secular and religious organizations.
What is a clerk? How does a clerk do their work?
How do Friends find unity?
How does Quaker process differ from secular consensus decision-making?
How does clerking a small committee differ from clerking a bigger meeting for business? This workshop will include theoretical discussion as well as fun experiential activities. We’ll have a special focus on Friends who are new to the role of clerk. More experienced clerks are also welcome to participate.

Children’s Program

Families and children welcome. Children’s program coordinated by Jay Thatcher.

No cost, no need to register. Lunch provided!
