The A Quaker Way of Living with Dying eRetreat invites you to explore and practice the spirituality of death. Growing old, even when that means facing physical or other changes, can help us focus on what is essential. This eRetreat was previous offered with the title Aging, Death, and Dying.

Community Building Calls
Each week, the facilitators will lead Community Building Calls using Zoom. During these calls, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the eRetreat content, worship together, do additional eRetreat exercises, and build connections with each other.
eRetreat Details:
- Offered October 25 – November 18, 2021
- Four weeks, $45 pay-as-led** participation fee
- Weekly readings, queries, resources, and activities are available on FGC’s eRetreat website, Matrix
- Community Building Calls: Mondays at 4-5:30 pm Eastern / 1-2:30 pm Pacific starting October 25. The facilitator is also offering optional worship sharing calls on Thursdays at the same time.
**Pay-as-Led is a method of offering sliding scale pricing so that paid events are more accessible for people with a wide range of abilities to pay. Participants choose how much to pay for the registration fee.

The A Quaker Way of Living with Dying eRetreat will be facilitated by Kate Jaramillo
Kate Jaramillo is a member of Bridge City Friends Meeting in Portland, Oregon. Kate is a Board-Certified chaplain and served in this ministry for over 20 years in hospitals and hospice/palliative care. Prior to that, Kate was an attorney providing legal services to the elderly. At present, she is a personal development coach in private practice.
