This is the third of four monthly educational presentations to prepare the MMM community for the discussion of the minute regarding right relationship with indigenous people at the July NPYM annual session. Offered by the ad hoc Committee on Right Relationship with Indigenous People. Everyone invited.

Presenters:

  • Sande Bea Allman (Oglala Lakota/Nimiipuu) is the Chief Community Engagement and Development Officer for Native American Rehabilitation Association NW. For over 37 years she has led the fundraising for the annual Delta Park Powwow and Encampment.
  • Justine Flynn (Grande Ronde) is currently the Youth Education Manager for the Confederated Tribes of Grande Ronde. She taught with the Chinuk Language Education Project for four years and she holds a Masters degree in Teaching with a focus on Dual Language Learning and Culturally Responsive Teaching.
  • Tom Kunesh (Standing Rock Lakota) recently convened a gathering of indigenous Quakers and he attends Nashville Friends Meeting. He is a leader in protecting and educating about indigenous sites in Tennessee.
