Multnomah Monthly meeting is inviting Bridge City Friends Meeting to participate in this blended (Zoom and in-person) event. See Multnomah’s website for required Covid protocols if you wish to attend in person.
This month Paula Palmer of Friends Peace Teams will lead us in learning about the involvement of Quakers in the attack on indigenous culture. This is the second of four monthly educational presentations to prepare us for the discussion of the minute regarding right relationship with indigenous people at the July NPYM annual session. In May, a panel will discuss contemporary Native-led movements. On June 5, we will hear from David Lewis, a native scholar with deep understanding of local tribal history. Join in-person in the Meeting Room or on Zoom.
