About BCFM

Bridge City Friends Meeting averages 15-20 individuals attending blended worship, in-person and on Zoom on 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays. On 2nd and 4th Sundays Friends worship without technology in-person and on a separate Zoom link. We gather to sing from the Friends General Conference Hymnal from 9:30 – 9:55 am in a main floor room at AHC (with Zoom link on blended Sundays). Meeting for Worship gathers upstairs at 10 am for about an hour of unprogrammed worship.

BCFM rents space for worship and fellowship on Sunday mornings at the Architectural Heritage Center in central SE Portland. We are an “Open and Affirming” member of Community of Welcoming Congregations.

Bridge City Friends Meeting was “set off” from Multnomah Monthly Meeting as a worship group in 1997, when their meeting space needs could not be met in the SE Stark Street meetinghouse. We became a monthly meeting in 2004, and joined North Pacific Yearly Meeting, the association of unprogrammed Friends Meetings in OR, WA, ID, and MT, that gathers annually. Our regional Friends organization is Willamette Quarterly Meeting, meeting three times a year for business and fellowship.
