Bridge City Friends Meeting averages 15-20 individuals attending on Sunday mornings. We are ready and willing to welcome children for age-appropriate activities during worship, although we currently have no on-going Children’s Program. We gather at 10 a.m. for 15 minutes of singing from the Friends General Conference Hymnal, then settle into an hour of unprogrammed worship.  BCFM rents space for worship, and fellowship  on Sunday mornings is held at the Architectural Heritage Center in central SE Portland. We are an “Open and Affirming” member of Community of Welcoming Congregations.

Bridge City Friends Meeting was “set off” from Multnomah Monthly Meeting as a worship group in 1997, when their meeting space needs could not be met in the SE Stark Street meetinghouse. We became a monthly meeting in 2004, and joined North Pacific Yearly Meeting, the association of unprogrammed Friends Meetings in OR, WA, ID, and MT, that gathers annually. Our regional Friends organization is Willamette Quarterly Meeting, meeting three times a year for business and fellowship.
