Subject: Housing opportunity in Friendly Community in S.E. Arizona

Dear Friends,

Bill and I are Quakers from Homer Alaska who sojourned and then joined a Quaker founded intentional residential community in the very S.E. corner of Arizona three years ago.  Friends Southwest Center is a 60+ acre land trust with several houses and mobile homes.

Bill's lovely mom died three months ago and we have had to move out of our little brick home at F.S.C. into a house in a nearby town in order to care for his father.  This was a very abrupt change in our lives, and we are now looking for a Friend or couple or small family that might love to rent or lease our house in the community.

We remain active members of F.S.C. and our local Cochise Worship Group. We want to outreach to some of our contacts in Quaker churches and meetings.  Many of you know us personally from our years in the Pacific Northwest and our service to FWCC and most recently to the Quaker Youth Pilgrimage.

If it seems appropriate, we would be very glad to have a short notice posted in your newsletter or as a First Day Announcement.  It would be wonderful if we could find Quakers to come for a month or several months to our area.  Our little house would be a perfect place for retreat, writing, spiritual renewal, or respite.  We can provide details, support, photos and affordable terms.

Please let us know if you or someone you know can help us with this earnest request.

Most sincerely,

Ruthe Schoder-Ehri
